INDEFINITE ROISTERING, line faults and misbehaviour of the KESCo employees at the sub-stations have agitated even the peace loving citizens of the metropolis.
It has become a routine that after the roistering is over, power supplies to many areas remain suspended. Consumers in the affected areas when try to contact the KESCo employees at the power sub stations, the employees do not respond to their calls properly. At some stations, phone receivers are either removed or out of order.

When the poor citizens go to lodge complaints at the centers, the employees present there do not hesitate for a moment to demand Rs 100 for rectifying the line fault. If a particular house is affected, they demand not less than Rs 300 for correcting the fault.
KESCo employees openly admit that amidst a large number of faults it is not possible to fix the priority. Those who offer “extra money” they are bound to take up his case on priority basis.
Only on Wednesday, citizens of Sarvodaya Nagar went there to complain about non-supply of a Phase, the KESCo employees present there asked them to pay Rs 100 if they wanted it to be corrected immediately. Affluent citizens did not mind and readily accepted the offer and got the power supply resumed.
Most of the time, employees at the sub-stations do not observe the norms of common courtesy, which leads to violent clashes. Instead of giving any impressive reply to the consumers, they simply say “Ham kiya karein,” “sub-station ko phoonk do”, “GM ko complaint kar do”. Some time these words irritate even common consumers.
