They shouted slogans against capitalism and pledged to transform the dream of Bhagat Singh into reality. The march passed through Court crossing, Bank Road, Shastri crossing and converted into a meeting at Bhagat Singh Park in Betiahata.

Expressing his views on this occasion, Arvind Singh, coordinator of Sankalp Yatra, said that despite the conspiracy of regional parties, the ideology of Bhagat Singh was still alive in the heart of the people. It was like a torch, which would show light to the people who wanted a change in the society. He stressed on revolution against capitalist forces and said the ideology of Bhagat Singh could energise the people who were in favour of revolution.
Social activist Minakshi accused political parties for misleading the youths and called upon the youths to come forward to bring a change in the society.
Members of Parivartankami Chhatra Sangthan also organised a seminar at DDU Gorakhpur University on relevance of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. Presiding over the seminar, Prof Mira Bhattacharya condemned the administration for not organising any programme to pay tribute to the freedom fighter. Dr Chaturanan Arya called upon the students to sideline professional students in students union election and appealed to extend support to the activists of Inqalabi Naujawan Sabha.
