The post-mortem of nine persons who died in the firing in Rajasthan’s Gopalgarh village was conducted on Wednesday, a week after the communal clash between Mev and Gurjar communities over a piece of land.

After the clash, Congress president Sonia Gandhi had rushed a team of party MPs to Gopalgarh to take stock of the situation.

In its report, the team has blamed home minister Shanti Dhariwal for “aggravating the matter with his insensitive statements that justified the police firing”.
