Facing flak over the handling of the Bhopal gas case, Congress today said rehabilitation and relief for Bhopal gas victims was the party's priority now but insisted that the guilty should be punished.

"The GoM (formed recently) is considering all aspects of the matter... And we will be able to give you a proper
considered view only after the GoM submits its report," party spokesperson Jayanthi Natarajan told reporters here.

To a question, she wanted to know what the BJP had done to extradite Warren Anderson, the then chief of Union Carbide, when it was in power at the Centre for six years.
