Bhopal register narrow win against Lucknow

In the inaugural match Bhopal faced a tough fight against Lucknow. Lucknow’s excellent defence and good coordination between the players foiled every attack made by the hosts. Such close was the contest that both teams failed to open account in the first half.

But Bhopal took lead in the fourth minute of second half when Zeeshan Khan netted the ball into the opponents’ goal. This was the only goal in the match. Bhopal won the match 1-0.

Other matches of the day ended in draw. Lucknow, playing their second match of the day, drew 1-1 against Dhar while Kashipur played a goalless draw against Dhar.
