The Indo-Croat duo came through 7-6 3-6 10-6 to make it to the last four.
After taking the opening set, Bhupathi and Ancic allowed their opponents to come back into the match but held their nerve to emerge victorious in a super-tiebreak.
They will take on Kristian Pless of Denmark and Thailand's Danai Udomchoke for a place in the final of the hardcourt event.
Pless and Udomchoke were given a walkover by top seeds Ivo Karlovic of Croatia and Rogier Wassen of the Netherlands.
