The scouts left Thimpu January 14 for the Indian capital, according to Bhutan's online version of Kuensel newspaper.

The Bhutanese youths will also get an opportunity to visit Indian tourist spots like Agra and Jaipur.

They will also undergo training in small arms firing, obstacle course, sailing, aero modelling and horse riding. They would participate in quizzing events.

Bhutanese Programme Officer of Youth Culture and Education Division Tenzin Rabgyel said the tradition of inviting representatives of the Bhutanese young to join Indian's Republic Day celebrations began in 1988.
