He was arrested on Wednesday for misbehaving with a eunuch and released on bail.
Raja owed the girl, who is an astrologer, some money. She had come to collect it when he tried to molest her, police said. On Tuesday evening, they met in a restaurant in Versova, in senior police inspector at Santacruz police station Dilip Gaikwad said. As it was getting late, Raja offered to drop the girl home.
"While they were on way to Girgaon in South Mumbai, Raja stopped the car and sat next to the girl in the rear seat," he said. He then, according to the girl, tried to molest her.
"But when he saw a police vehicle nearby, he became alert. This was when the girl moved out of the vehicle and directly came to our police station to register a complaint," Gaikwad said.
Former husband of TV actress Shweta Tiwari, Raja has acted in Bhojpuri film Saiyyan Hamar Hindustani. The two also participated in the dance show, Nach Baliye.
