Bihar legislator kidnapped by Maoists

A Rashtriya Janata Dal legislator was today abducted by alleged Maoists while campaigning in Bihar's Aurangabad district, police said.

A Rashtriya Janata Dal legislator was on Saturday abducted by alleged Maoists while campaigning in Bihar's Aurangabad district, police said.

Mohd Nehaluddin, who represented Rafiganj in the outgoing assembly and contesting the October-November poll, was kidnapped from Laltenganj village.

A search operation has been launched to rescue Nehaluddin, police said.

Aurangabad is one of the Maoist-affected districts in Bihar.
