Bilkis case: Doctor's discharge plea rejected

A special court in Mumbai on Monday rejected the discharge application of Dr Arun Prasad, an accused in the Bilkis Bano gangrape-cum-murder case, which took place in Gujarat nearly two years ago.
Special Judge UD Salvi rejected the discharge plea of Prasad and kept the matter for the next hearing on January 13.
Prasad has been charged with being part of the conspiracy to attack and kill the 14-member family of Bilkis Bano.
Bilkis survived the massacre that took place on March 1, 2002.
