BJD announces first list of candidates, 5 MP and 30 MLA candidates announced

Odisha chief minister and Biju Janata Dal chief on Wednesday announced the names of candidates for five out of 21 Lok Sabha and 30 out of 147 assembly seats, election for which will be held in the first round on April 10.

Odisha chief minister and Biju Janata Dal chief on Wednesday announced the names of candidates for five out of 21 Lok Sabha and 30 out of 147 assembly seats, election for which will be held in the first round on April 10.

The party has repeated most of the sitting MPs and MLAs.

The five Lok Sabha candidates are former India hockey captain Dilip Tirkey (Sundergarh), Ladukishore Swain (Aska), Sidhanta Mohapatra (Berhampur), Arka Keshari Deo (Kalahandi), Kalikesh Singh Deo (Balangir).

The 30 candidates for assembly are Naveen Patnaik (Hinjilicut), Jagannath Sarka (Bissam Cuttack), Balabhadra Majhi (Lanjigarh), Rajendra Dholkia (Nuapada), Lambodar Nial (Khariar), Divyasingh Mishra (Junagarh) , Pushpendra Singhdeo (Dharamgarh), Anam Naik (Bhawanipatna), Dhaneswar Majhi (Narla), Lal Bihari Himirika (Rayagada), Binay Toppo (Talasara), Kusum Tete (Sundargarh), Subrat Tarai (Raghunathpalli), Sarada Nayak (Rourkela), Mangala Kissan (Rajganapur), Dayanidhi Kissan (Bonai), Padmanabha Behera (Birmaharajpur), Niranjan Pujari (Sonepur), Jogendra Behera (Loisingha), Gita Sahu (Titlagarh), Hajji Mohd Ayub Khan (Kantabanji), Ramesh Chandra Chyaupatnaik (Brahampur), Pradeep Kumar Panigrahi (Gopalpur), Surya Naranan Patro (Digapahandi), Usha Devi (Chikiti), Latika Pradhan (Kabisuryanagar), Purna Chandra Sethi (Khallikote), Debaraj Mohanty (Aska), Purna Chandra Swain (Soroda), Nalini Devi (Sanakhemundi).
