"The inquiry committee led by former MP Satyadeo Singh will study in detail the conspiracy behind these conversions,
examine its causes and the source of funding," party spokesman Hriday Narin Dixit said.

He said that the committee will submit its report to the state president Surya Pratap Shahi.

"Members of Mahaut community are being forcibly converted in four villages of Nawabganj block of Bahraich
district, but the state and the Centre are keeping a mum," Dixit alleged.

He demanded the state government to ban conversions and a high level probe should be ordered in such cases.
