BJP expresses profound grief at Mahajan?s death

THE CITY Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and workers on Wednesday expressed a profound grief at the demise of senior party leader and its national general secretary Pramod Mahajan.

The BJP (south) members were holding a meeting to discuss the plan to welcome the Bharat Surkasha Yatra, led by a senior party leader LK Advani, in the district.

The zone president Ajit Singh Chhabara was presiding over the meeting. But as soon as the news about the demise of Mahajan came in, a pall of gloom descended on the venue where the meeting was being held. Chhabra expressing his grief at the demise of Mahajan said, “He was a great leader who gained fame all over world due to his unique leadership quality.”

President of the party’s unit (south) Radheshaym Panday said that the untimely death of Mahajn was a great loss to party. Former state minister and MLA Satish Mahana said Mahajan was an dynamic leader and it was a great loss to the party and the nation.

At city party office in Naveen Market, the party workers held a meeting to pay respect to their beloved leader. They observed a two-minute silence.

The meeting was attended by former MP Jagat Vir Singh Dron, MLA Salil Bishnoi, former state minister and MLA Prem Lata Katiyar, former state vice president BJP Satyadev Pachauri, former MP Shaym Bihari Mishra, Dinesh Rai, Nirmal Tripathi, Surendra Singh Chauhan (Rajan), Anoop Tiwari, Anoop Awashthi Lalit Srivastva, Chnadra Bhan Dubey and many leaders and followers of Mahajan.
