Addressing the workers, the State BJP President Satyanarayan Jatia said that since the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) was voted to power at the Centre the prices had been soaring. The prices of diesel, petrol, kerosene, LPG, edible oil, sugar and various essential commodities increased unabated.

He said Sonia Gandhi was forced to resign from her posts as she was trapped in the Congress’ own trap laid for others on the issue of office of profit.

The workers later submitted a memorandum to the Governor. The memorandum said that the former NDA government at the Centre had controlled the prices, while the UPA government miserably failed to do so.

Those who took part in the demonstration included MP Kailash Joshi, the State BJP organising general secretary Kaptan Singh Solanki, the district BJP president Surendra Nath Singh, Kamal Bhai, Dhruvnarain Singh, Om Yadav, Ramdayal Prajapati, Ramesh Sharma, Vishwas Sarang, Suraj Singh Maran, Shyam Mohan Shrivastava, Alok Sharma, Alok Sanjar, Gorelal Badgaiya and
several others.
