The rally is attended by more than a lakh people, mostly ex-Army men, at the Secretariat Grounds in Rewari, 90 km from Delhi. Former army chief, Gen (retd) VK Singh is also present att the rally.
This is the first public rally of the Gujarat chief minister after he was named the prime ministerial candidate for the next general election.
According to IANS, rally has already generated controversy with unidentified people blackening the posters and a state Congress minister flaying Modi for the rally. Haryana is ruled by a Congress government.
BJP leader Veerpal Singh accused the Congress-led government in Haryana of creating hurdles vis-a-vis the rally.
"When our preparations were in full swing, the power supply to the venue was disrupted for several hours," he said.
