She flagged off 13 vehicles, each carrying a team of artistes following a brief function held at the state party headquarters. Party chose precisely 13 vehicles keeping in view as many districts Uttarakhand is comprised of. Incidentally, all these vehicles are fitted with an audio-visual system each, which would help the artistes communicate the party's message in an effective manner.

The scene at the function though was marked by excitement, thanks to the artistes presenting a street play, which lauded the BC Khanduri-led BJP government for its achievements while criticising the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre. They jeered at UPA government for being neck-deep in corruption and for its abject failure to check the skyrocketing food prices.

Extolling further the Khanduri government's achievements the artistes dancing to the beat of music, sang with aplomb, dekho, dekho shashan dekho/Khanduri ka shashan dekho/ Uttarakhand ka shashan dekho/ Khile kamal ka raj dekho. They also hailed CM Khanduri for initiating a series of anti-graft measures and introducing the Lokayukta. The artistes, on the other hand, had a dig at the Congress for having failed to introduce a Lokpal in its almost 50-year rule at the Centre.
