While addressing officer bearers of the Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the youth wing of the party, Khanna said the party had launched Mission 44+ to ensure victory in the elections and party workers would work towards the same as they had done before the Lok Sabha elections. The BJP had won three parliamentary seats: two from Jammu and one from Ladakh during the Lok Sabha polls.

Khanna added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would ensure that the problems faced by people in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions were resolved soon. BJYM state president Ravinder Raina said the youth of the state had lost faith in the Congress and the National Conference. He alleged that the two parties had pursued an anti-youth agenda, adding that the BJP was the only credible alternative in the state.
