Bomb scare creates panic in Lucknow institute

An extensive search was immediately launched but nothing had been found, official sources said.

An anonymous call about a bomb in the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences sparked panic and sent police into a tizzy on Thursday.

Senior police officials and the bomb disposal squad rushed to the scene after receiving information about the bomb scare, official sources said.

An extensive search was immediately launched but nothing had been found, they added.

The anonymous call was received at 2000 hrs, the sources said.
