After three new members took oath in Lok Sabha, NDA, Samajwadi Party and TDP members were up on their feet demanding a discussion on farmers' plight.

SP members led by Akhilesh Singh Yadav rushed to the well of the House raising the issue of farmer sucides in some parts of the country.

Speaker Somnath Chaterjee's repeated pleas to maintain order particularly when a Swedish Parliamentary delegation was seated in the Speakers Gallery, went unheeded.

In Rajya Sabha, SP and TDP members were up on their feet the moment Chairman Hamid Ansari called for Question Hour. NDA too joined the protests as the SP and TDP members trooped into the well of the House.

Ansari's repeated pleas for allowing listed questions to be taken up went unheeded. Third Front and NDA members raised slogans demanding waiver of loans to farmers.

'Kisan Virodhi Sarkar Nahi Chalegi' (Anti-Farmer Government will not be allowed to run) created a din in the House even as some members took pun at Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar asking him to concentrate on his portfolio rather than auctioning cricketers.

As the din continued, the House was adjourned till 1200 hours.
