A 13-year-old boy commits suicide by hanging himself after his mother scolded him for not attending school.

A 13-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself after his mother scolded him for not attending school, police said Thursday.

Abilash, a school student here in Kollam district, had not been attending classes since two days when his mother scolded him.

Apparently hurt and angry, the boy ended his life on Wednesday, police said.
