District Collector Vivek Aggarwal inaugurated the programme by lighting a lamp. Aggarwal said that the message of domestic safety must be propagated among people through such schemes. BPCL Mumbai regional LPG manager V N Rao presided over the function.

Rao narrated the various initiatives undertaken in the field of safety, brand promise, value added services etc. The mega draw was launched by BPCL Indore territory from October 2005 to March 2006. As per the scheme every purchaser of Bharat Gas Suraksha Hose was entitled for two gifts- a tea packet and a lucky draw coupon.

The lucky draw was held in March 2006 in the presence of Bagli SDM S Khedekar to choose 56 winners. The prizes included silver coins, pressure cookers, water purifiers and free LRG refill coupons. Bharatgas Suraksha hose is anti rodent, heat resistant, has excellent grip and comes with five years guarantee. BPCL territory manager (LPG) Babu J Baby welcomed the guests.
