Presiding over the meeting of Brahmin Welfare Board, the CM also said that a fund has also been set aside for the maintenance of the neglected temples in Himachal Pradesh.

Parshuram Bhawans will be constructed in all districts of the state to cater to the need of Brahmin community, Singh said.

Taking up the issue of temple lands occupied by the occupancy tenants, the Chief Minister issued instructions to all the Deputy Commissioners to identify such temples where the ‘Sewadaars’ (occupancy tenants) had become the owners of the temple property and neglected the temples.

He said that strict action will be taken against those who were involved in killing of cows in Chamba. Speaking on the monkey menace, he said the government was taking appropriate measures to stop this menace and feeding of monkeys should be strictly banned on state and national highways, he said.
