The Supreme Court on Thursday stayed for six week the sealing of commercial banks operating from residential areas in Noida.

A bench of justice Swatanter Kumar and justice Ranjana Prakash Desai granted six weeks to the Noida Authority CEO to provide alternative sites to the banks, which, in compliance with the court’s earlier directive, had stopped operating from residential areas.

The authority will Friday de-seal the eight bank branches that it shut down on Wednesday.
