"Violation of Drug and Cosmetic Act and protection of labour rights were first raised in May last, and even today our party supports the labour force in Haridwar. Nobody is above law," she said.

She was replying to a question as to why she had become silent after raising those issues.

"Don't trivialise and sensationalise the issues, as they are not centred around any individual," she said.

Stating that the CPI(M) has always stood for labour rights and would continue to struggle till the issues were solved, she said the two issues were still alive and it would not end even if anybody sought to cover them up.

Asked for her opinion about the BJP-led NDA government in Jharkhand according Ramdev Baba as a state guest for his week-long yoga camp in Ranchi from February 19, Karat said that was up to the people to "see" it.
