The para-military force has termed the killing as an "accident".

The BSF will be handing over the soldier to Jammu and Kashmir police for conducting the test identification parade, official sources said on Wednesday.

They said an internal inquiry conducted by the paramilitary forces identified the soldier, whose identity was not immediately known. He has been questioned by senior officials of the force.

The boy was shot dead by the soldier on February 5 at Nishat, leading to major protests across the valley.
