National general secretary of the party, Nasimuddin Siddiqui, would arrive here on July 23 to participate in the workers conference scheduled at Chitragupta temple. Besides, national general secretary the party Satish Chandra Mishra would also participate on August 2 in a Brahmin conference at Khajani tehsil.

Party sources said the situation was suitable for the BSP and they won’t leave any stone unturned to ensure victory on various seats in eastern UP. The party had also identified the Assembly segments where chances of winning were bright.

According to party sources, the second list of party candidates would be declared soon. The first aim of the party was to register victory in the segment where party candidates were defeated by low margin of votes. Sources said that Nasimuddin Siddiqui would participate in the Muslim intellectual conference to convince the community regarding the policies of BSP for uplift of the minorities and weaker sections.

The party has started preparations to ensure success of the workers conference and a mass contact programme has been launched by the minority leaders of the party in highly minority-populated areas. Party sources were confident that switch of 10 per cent minority and Brahmin votes in eastern UP in favour of the BSP might decide the election in party’s favour.
