At a press briefing, foreign office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said Bugti's death was an internal matter of Pakistan and denied that Bugti's death was political.

It was not a political vendetta and no foreign country has a right to comment on it, she said.

"We have not gone through the Indian and Afghanistan statements over Akbar Bugti's death," Aslam said.

The spokesperson's comments came after India described the killing of the prominent Baloch nationalist leader as 'unfortunate' and 'a tragic loss to the people of Balochistan and Pakistan'.

India's external affairs ministry urged Pakistan to go for a dialogue with Baloch nationalist leaders and 'address the grievances and aspirations of people of Balochistan'.

Bugti, a veteran Baloch leader, was killed on Saturday in a massive military operation in which around 40 guerrillas were also gunned down.
