The bank has a client base of around 3.7 crore and aims to add 1.25 crore customers in the next two years.

"Of the total 400 branches, we already have approval for 209 branches while for the rest we have already applied to Reserve Bank of India for approval, which we are expecting soon," says M. Narendra, executive director, Bank of India.

The bank has a network of 3,236 branches, including 29 branches overseas.

"Increasing the number of branches and ATMs will help to add customers," Narendra said.

He said the expansion of branches and ATMs will cover all the states and will not be focused towards any region in particular.
