Businessman fired at, escapes unhurt in Orissa
A businessman at Rajgangpur in Orissa's Sundargarh district escaped unhurt after a three-member gang of anti-socials shot him on refusing to pay extortion money, police said in Rourkela on Monday.

A businessman at Rajgangpur in Orissa's Sundargarh district escaped unhurt after a three-member gang of anti-socials shot him on refusing to pay extortion money, police said in Rourkela on Monday.
Three motorbike-borne miscreants fired two rounds at Anand Agarwal on Sunday night at his shop located in the busy main daily market at Rajgangpur.
One of the miscreants was nabbed by the public while two others managed to escape.
The shopowners immediately downed the shutters and gheraoed the local police station along with the public demanding arrest of the two miscreants.
However, the gherao was withdrawn after two hours when senior police officials gave assurance to arrest them.
Search operation was on to nab the criminals, they added.
