Jenson Button could be disqualified and lose his third-place finish in the San Marino Grand Prix because his car was too light.

Formula One governing body FIA said on Monday that it was appealing the race stewards' ruling that Button's BAR-Honda was within the weight rules. FIA regulations say that any car under the weight limit should be disqualified.
Buttn placed third behind Fernando Alonso's Renaut and Michael Schmacher's Ferrari at Imola on Sunday, picking up six points. It was the first time this season he finished a race.
The British driver's car was held for several hours in the race scrutinizing bay before it was allowed to leave and the race results declared official.
But the FIA issued a statement today challenging the decision. The International Court of Appeal will hear the case in Paris on May 4.
Disqualification and the loss of the six points would be a major blow for Button, who has failed to follow up on last year's impressive performances.
Button finished 2004 with 85 points, third behind Ferrrai drivers Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello. He finished a career-best second behind Scumacher at last year's San Marino GP after starting from his first pole.
