Call it ethnic cleansing in Lanka
Make no bones about it; the rampaging Sinhalese Sri Lankan army is killing, maiming and uprooting village after village and towns domiciled by ethnic Tamils. This ethnic cleansing; a war being waged upon the Tamil race by the Sinhalese race with the use of aerial bombardment, heavy artillery and multi-barrel rocket launchers on civilian Tamil population is act of war crime. It's state-sponsored terror, plain and simple.

This ethnic cleansing waged on the Tamil race by the Sinhalese race with the use of aerial bombardment, heavy artillery and multi-barrel rocket launchers on civilian Tamil population is act of war crime. It's state-sponsored terror, plain and simple. So why is a newspaper of repute like yours paying lip service to the Sinhalese government which is attempting to defend the criminal activities of the failed state like Sri Lanka?
Just an academic question - would you or any sane Indian approve if the Indian Army should use the same tactics on civilians as the Sinhalese army on fellow Indians regardless of their ethnic background?
