Chaitanya kalbag’s article ‘India: The Class Act’ on June 14 was timely. It is amazing how the Indian political class is arousing class consciousness to win votes. How long will it take for politicians to realise that they are weakening the foundations of Indian unity instead of strengthening it? The interests of the economically weaker sections of society should be taken care of through more objective, scientific and quantifiable approaches.
