Catching Arif?s weak moments!
SALIM ARIF?S Kachche Lamhe struck one-to-one with the crowd at Surya auditorium on Sunday
SALIM ARIF’S Kachche Lamhe struck one-to-one with the crowd at Surya auditorium on Sunday.

Everyone knew the ‘Weak Moments’ is an everyday scene from an Indian home and that glued them to the Gulzar’s story.
‘Sudhir toh kabhi nahin sudhrega’, ‘Tum life ko bhi theatre ki tarah jeeti ho’, ‘Dost ke hote hue biwi musibat mein’, ‘Baar Baar bithaate kyon ho’, were the one-liners which brought the play close to their hearts. Kachche Lamhe (Weak Moments) written by Javed Siddiqui, based on a story by Gulzar and directed by Salim Arif depicted domestic tensions amicably as Sudhir ( played by Kiran Karmakar), Seema ( played by Lubna Salim) and the friend ( played by Harsh Chhaya) were the central characters to the drama which unfolded at the spacious Surya auditorium. The story takes a U-turn as doubt and intrigue surface between man and wife when a common friend knocks at their doorstep.
Somewhere, Sapna is drawn towards the other man who charms her through his antics, personality, good looks and other external factors.
Already, there is tension brewing between husband and wife and the friend adds fuel to fire and subsequent events follow.
The costumes designed specially for the female protagonist to support her mood swings were worth mention apart from the film scores (there was a scene where there is a phone call for the wife and loud film songs play in the background to which she gets irritated), lighting, sets and the props on stage which supported the narration.
The play which was organised by the Indian Academy of Arts and Culture also gave a message that one should not fall prey to weak moments in life.
