The CBI officials allegedly grilled the jailed cop regarding allegations he levelled in the 10-page resignation letter, which accused Modi’s most trusted aide Amit Shah of “misguiding the CM over the issue of fake encounter cases”.

“He has been questioned regarding many issues including the letter,” a senior official from the CBI said. In his letter written from jail, Vanzara startled the Modi administration by stating that the cops who are in jail for the fake counters, “merely implemented that conscious policy of the government regarding zero tolerance on terrorism.”
