State Home Minister P. Sabita Indra Reddy told reporters Monday that Union Home Minister P Chidambaram has agreed to the state's request.

The state government has also ordered a probe by a two-member expert committee comprising MR Reddy, retired Indian Police Service (IPS) official, and HS Kola, former director general, civil aviation, she said.

YSR, his special secretary, chief security officer and two pilots were killed when the helicopter carrying them from Hyderabad to Chittoor crashed in bad weather in Nallamalla forests in Kurnool district Wednesday morning. The charred bodies and the wreckage of the chopper were found the next morning after a huge aerial search.
