CBSE inter-school volleyball begins

CBSE CLUSTER XI interschool volleyball tournament for under-19 boys and girls organised by Vidyasagar School began in the City on Friday.

CBSE CLUSTER XI interschool volleyball tournament for under-19 boys and girls organised by Vidyasagar School began in the City on Friday.

More than 70 schools from Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh are taking part in the tournament. Joint Secretary of CBSE Regional Office Ajmer S K Chopra inaugurated the tournament.

Earlier, school principal S K Joshi welcomed the gathering while chairman of the school Rameshwar Patel presented memento to the chief guest. Addressing the players, Chopra said that they should not lose heart and put efforts to be number one.

SICA president K Srinivasan, Standard Public School director N Jha, school secretary Jagdish Sharma, Pragya School director Col Sharma and various CBSE school principals of Indore, Dewas and Mhow were present during the occasion. School captain Adiba Sadique proposed the vote of thanks.

On the first day St Paul, Emerald Heights International School, Bhawan’s Prominent, Shri Bhartiya Sansthan from Indore and Don Bosco (Chindwara), Army School (Bhopal) and Sainik School (Rewa) won their respective matches to advance to the second round.

In the girl’s category Queen’s College, St Raphael’s and St Joseph’s (Bhopal) won their first matches to advance to the second round.
