Five things I can’t live without: My credit cards, photos of my grandchildren and Mother Teresa, a prayer book and frequent flyer cards.

My most recent purchase: Cologne for my son and dark glasses for my daughter and son-in-law.

The most treasured item in my wardrobe: At the moment, a black-and-gold bordered sari.

What I would wear on a Sunday: A nice white salwar kameez with a crisp white dupatta or a soft black crepe outfit.

Where I like shopping the most: Nalli in Chennai, Balaram Saha and Kanishka’s in Kolkata, West Side, Shoppers’ Stop and Marks and Spencer.

I get my music from: HMV in London, Planet M, Music World, little by-lanes in Kolkata and Mumbai where they sell old and rare music. Rhythm House in Mumbai is an old favourite.

Madhur Bhandarkar, Film director

What’s in my wallet:
Some money, credit cards, and pictures of Gods, mainly Ganpati.

Five things I can’t live without: Music system, TV, DVD player, mobile and watch to keep a track of the time.

My most recent purchase: A gold ring and bangles for my mother on her birthday.

The most treasured item in my wardrobe: My kurtas teamed with jeans.

What I would wear on a hot date: A kurta in black or white.

Where I like shopping the most: Bandra – I’m not a brand conscious person.

I get my music from: Anywhere around the city. I love old songs by Kishore Kumar and songs from Guru Dutt’s films.
