The Congress in Assam has drawn up its poll strategy for the coming Lok Sabha elections, highlighting the state government's performance and the BJP-led Centre's 'lack of interest in the state'.

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today told reporters here that the poll campaign would concentrate on the performance of his government and the opposition BJP and AGP's inability to substantiate any of their allegations against the ruling party.
The other poll issue would be to tell the voters that the "Centre is not interested in the development of Assam and the North-East. That we have not benefitted by the creation of the Union DONER ministery exclusively for the N-E, he said.
"Funds have not been given to us, the unemployment and flood problem have not been addressed. What purpose is it serving except that one Cabinet minister has been appointed?" the Chief Minister asked.
He also accused the BJP of "hijacking the country's achievements and taking credit for them when the basis for all the development was laid in the earlier Congress time and now after the tree has become big they (BJP) are claiming the fruits to be their's".
Gogoi allegeded that only a particular section was benefited under the BJP-led government while the poor and the downtrodden were ignored further widening the gap between the poor and rich.
