Change in traffic routes for R-Day

ELABORATE TRAFFIC arrangements have been put in place for the Republic Day function on Thursday. After 7 am, heavy vehicles coming from New Market and Jawahar Chowk will not be allowed to ply between Roshanpura and Lal Parade. These vehicles would have to go by the alternative route from Banganga, Machhlighar, Khatlapuri and PHQ trisection to reach Lily Talkies.

ELABORATE TRAFFIC arrangements have been put in place for the Republic Day function on Thursday. After 7 am, heavy vehicles coming from New Market and Jawahar Chowk will not be allowed to ply between Roshanpura and Lal Parade. These vehicles would have to go by the alternative route from Banganga, Machhlighar, Khatlapuri and PHQ trisection to reach Lily Talkies.

Mini buses, tempos and heavy vehicles going from Talaiya to Barkhedi will reach the Board Office through Chiklod Road, Jinsi, Maida Mill. The mini buses will not be allowed on the route from MP Nagar to Jail Road.

The spectators without pass will be able to park their vehicles at MVM Ground and Police Welfare Centre premises. The vehicles coming from Lily Talkies will be parked at Kshipra Bhawan. The officers participating in the function will park their vehicles at either MVM ground or the Police Welfare Centre.

Those with red passes will park their cars at Motilal Nehru Stadium inside Lal Parade Ground. The blue passes are for those who will enter through Chetak Dwar while the vehicles with yellow and green passes

would enter through gate number six near the Police Arms Workshop. The vehicles will be parked near Basketball Ground. The students participating in cultural programmes will park vehicles in MVM Ground.

The visitors without pass coming to watch parade will enter walking through the gates number 4 and 5. After 8:30 am no vehicle will enter between Police Headquarters and Control Room. The parking between Shabban Chauraha and Old SP Office trisection will be prohibited during the function.

The MPSRTC buses from Bus Depot to Sagar, Hoshangabad, Betul and Nagpur will reach Chetak Bridge through Link Road number 2. The buses from Nadra Bus Stand will go by Bhanpur, Jail Road, Lal Ghati. The buses from Depot will go through by-pass road.

On the occasion of Republic Day, the entry of heavy vehicles at Pul Bogda, Subhash Crossing, Habibganj Naka, Prabhat Petrol Pump, Lalghati, Bhanpur, Karod, Depot Square, MACT Square will be banned. The visitors have been asked to enter the venue by 8:30 am and take their seats. Carrying bags, camera, cell phone and briefcase is not allowed into the Republic Day function.
