"The election in Chapra is an acid test for me as the entire country watched it. I am confident of my victory. Panic gripped voters as the entire constituency was virtually turned into a cantonment which partly was responsible for poor voter turn out," he said.
Replying to a question, Yadav, who was earlier elected from Madhepura defeating JD(U)'s Sharad Yadav, said he would take a decision on which seat to be retained once the result of Chapra was declared.
Yadav criticised the Election Commission for ordering repoll in large number of booths in Bettiah and Siwan which, he alleged, had given the impression that the RJD men indulged in electoral malpractices.
BJP nominee and former Union Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy, on the other hand, expressed satisfaction over the manner in which the repoll was conducted.
