In his first meeting at police line, Raja directed the police station in-charge Rajghat and Bansgaon, to focus on their physical fitness. He said that a policeman should look like a jawan of security forces to bear the responsibility to provide security to the people.

Sources said that SSP was amazed when he looked at a sub-inspector. The policeman appeared before Raja and saluted him but the AK-47 hanging from his shoulder was not up to the mark. This irked the SSP and when he wanted to know about the rank of the gunner, he was told that the gunner was head constable. Then the SSP wanted to know why was he using two star? He directed that all the head constables should use single star otherwise they would face stringent action.

The use of English language by the SSP, at the meeting, also created problems for various police personnel, although he was translating English sentences into Hindi.

Meanwhile, the SSP HAS directed the subordinates to launch a movement to check the misuse of hooters and beacon lights. The police personnel have identified five places where they would check the vehicles with beacon lights and hooters. Sources said the DGP had directed all the police officials to check the misuse of hooters following directive.
