Campaigning for her party candidate Kannappan who is contesting against the Home Minister in Sivaganga, she charged that Chidambaram was also responsible for lakhs of people losing jobs following economic slowdown.

She said introduction of participatory note scheme by Chidambaram had helped foreign investors to pump money into the stock market without even disclosing their identity, pushing up the stock index sharply.

The unidentified investors, who invested their black money, suddenly withdrew it leading to a major crisis in the stock market, affecting lakhs of small investors, she claimed.

Raising the issue of black money stashed in foreign countries, particularly in Switzerland, she said the Indian government was not giving any reason for not bringing back Rs.75 lakh crore black money though countries like Switzerland were willing to provide details if asked for.’The reason why Indian government is not asking for details is not known,’ she said.

Referring to Chief Minister Karunanidhi’s remark in a TV Interview that LTTE chief Prabhakaran was not a terrorist, she wanted to know whether Chidambaram accepted the DMK chief’s view.
