Deceased Ram Prakash, a class four student, was on his way to school when he was killed after being run over by the vehicle near Pachpahra village on Mahoba- Jhansi road, police sources said.

An irate mob later staged a sit-in protest against the incident blocking vehicular traffic for over two hours on the national highway.

The jam was lifted after assurances by senior administrative and police officials.
