A DELEGATION of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Madhya Pradesh met Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday and presented him a copy of the road map for State’s industrial growth.
Led by CII MP State Council chairman Sunil Chordia, the delegation met the CM to discuss the industrial and economic development of Madhya Pradesh. Making a presentation to the CM, Chordia suggested a road map for the overall development of the State.
The CII delegation stressed on the need for time-bound implementation of policies and also suggested formation of two-tier mechanism having greater industry involvement.
The CII urged Chouhan for his intervention in critical issues related to industry like taxation, labour legislation and infrastructure.
Chordia shared the efforts of CII in partnership with Government in projects like development of Pithampur Auto Cluster and Integrated Waste Management site. He also referred to the proposal for partnership in upgrading ITIs in the State as centres of excellence, CII SME Cluster for Excellence in Bhopal and its positive outcomes were also discussed.
Various thrust areas of partnership — infrastructure development, agriculture and food processing, connectivity, providing marketing linkages to the rural industries etc were also deliberated and decided on. It was also decided to do joint road shows in different parts of the country to market the State as preferred investment destination.
