"In light of the recent immigration laws being passed through US Congress, the need for immigrants to get their citizenship is a pressing concern for citizens and non-citizens alike," said Anu Peshawaria, a Supreme Court lawyer and state bonded immigration specialist, in a statement.

'Seva', Peshawaria's NGO, would be hosting a 'Citizenship Day' on July 1 in Fremont, California to "teach people US citizenship laws and US Customs and Immigration Services guidelines".

Harsh Chabra, an attorney of Immigration and Business Services, would also be present on the occasion.
