The city faces acute shortage of traffic police with only 15 cops running the show in the entire district.
The traffic police also lack technological support system for smooth running of traffic.

Indian Democratic Human Rights organisation, a local NGO, president Sarita Devi said that two years had passed but the situation was still the same.

She added that the traffic and municipal authorities had turned a deaf ear to them and traffic jams had resulted into illegal parking.
