A STUDENT of class IX was brutally beaten up at a prominent public school in Neelbad recently. Zain, 14, resident of Koh-e-Fiza, was allegedly slapped, kicked and beaten up by the librarian.

According to Koh-e-Fiza police, the parents of the boy approached them and after conducting his medical examination, the application for registering the case was forwarded to Ratibad police station under whose jurisdiction the school falls for further action.

The boy was allegedly thrashed when he was sitting in the library. The librarian charged Zain of making a comment on him a day earlier. Though Zain repeatedly denied uttering a single word, he was kicked and beaten up. Later, he was administered primary medication in the clinic at the school.

His parents said the boy was so frightened that he did not inform them despite the swelling on his face and body and his classmates told them about the incident that had occurred on Thursday.
