At (0630 IST) 2:00 am Central Europe time on Sunday morning it will become 3:00 am (7:30 IST) summer time in most countries across Europe. The United States will switch to summer time a week later than Europe, on the weekend of April 1.

The measure, harmonised across the European Union, is designed to save energy resources involved in artificial lighting.
