CM convenes yet another meet of UP cabinet

The CM will look afresh into convening the state legislature to seek a trust vote, reports Umesh Raghuvanshi.

Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav has convened yet another meeting of State Cabinet on Friday.

This would be fifth meeting of state cabinet this week. On Friday, the Chief Minister may like to look afresh into the issue of convening special session of state legislature to seek a trust vote.

If Chief Minister decides to convene the session of the state legislature, it will begin with the address of Governor TV Rajeswar before the joint sitting of both the houses.

Meanwhile the notification regarding proroguing the two houses of the state legislature were issued on Thursday. The Principal Secretary Vidhan Sabha Aditya Nath Mittal in an official press release said Governor had prorogued wef January 9, 2007 the Vidhan Sabha’s session that had been adjourned sine die on December 15, 2006.

The Speaker Mata Prasad Pandey has therefore cancelled sitting of Vidhan Sabha proposed on January 15, 2007, he said. The Principal Secretary Vidhan Parishad Matambar Singh also said Governor had prorogued Vidhan Parishad.
