CM's plea to Govt on cyclone

Kerala Chief Minister urges centre to take immediate steps to find out the missing persons in the cyclone that hit Oman a few days back.

Kerala Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan on Saturday urged Union Minister for Overseas Affairs Vayalar Ravi and Union Minister of state for External Affairs Ahamed to take immediate steps to find out the missing persons in the cyclone that hit Oman a few days back.

In fax messages sent to the ministers, he said that reports indicated that a Keralite had died and four others were missing after the storm that lashed the Gulf country.

Expressing satisfaction over the steps taken, he sought the assistance of the Centre for bringing back the persons who wished to return to the country.
